The Dorn Method
The Dorn Method was developed over 40 years ago in Germany by Dieter Dorn.
It’s not just about Traditional Chinese Medicine...
The Dorn Method is a non-manipulative technique that gently encourages muscular balance and release which may improve spinal stability and joint mobility and will help to address a range of issues.
You can learn more about the Dorn Method at the official website here.
Peter has been trained in the Dorn Method by Thomas Zudrell and, for more than 10 years has been using gentle movement and firm pressure at specific points along the muscle and connective tissue attachments to improve stability and mobility.
Acupuncture
Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture, in the hands of skilled practitioners like Peter, has been helping to improve people's health for thousands of years.
Alternative Approach.
Acupuncture offers a valid alternative approach to a wide variety of common ailments, pain and health-related issues.
Effective.
Acupuncture has also been trialled in some Australian hospitals. Studies* have found that it can be as effective as medication in treating lower back pain and ankle sprains. Some IVF clinics recommend acupuncture to compliment their therapy too.
It is not the same as dry needling. It feels very different and produces much different results.

Registered Practitioner.
In Australia, you must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency to be able to practice acupuncture and you can confirm Peter's registration with the agency on their website here.
Cupping
Cupping is a Traditional Chinese Medicine technique, best used on larger muscle groups of the body to relieve muscle soreness and pain.
What is cupping?
A slight vacuum is created in the small cup which is then applied to the skin. This causes a suction effect, drawing the tissue up and helping to move stagnant blood and toxins in your muscles and systems.
This technique can leave some temporary skin discolouration and bruising, but it is just the body’s natural healing process beginning.
Scraping
Gua sha (Scraping) is a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which the skin is scraped to produce light bruising.
Gua sha…
Practitioners believe Gua sha releases unhealthy elements from injured areas and stimulates blood flow and healing. Modern research shows Gua sha produces an anti-inflammatory and immune protection effect.
The special tool is placed against the oiled surface of the skin, pressed down firmly and then moved down the muscles or along the pathway of the acupuncture meridians.
It is widely used for:
Tennis elbow and muscle pain
Tight hamstrings and calves
Tense shoulder muscles, biceps and triceps
Stiff and sore quadriceps and upper legs
Potential relief of fascia pain
Herbal Remedies and Supplements
As part of your treatment, we may recommend a herbal or nutritional supplement to assist in treating your condition.
Our aim with every person who comes to us is not just to treat their symptoms while they are at the clinic but to address the underlying causes of the condition in a holistic manner that is ongoing and will assist progress between visits.
Not all products are the same.
The ones we use are regarded as "Practitioner Products". They cannot be sold in retail outlets so you will not be able to get them from the local health food store or other similar shops.
Before we make any recommendations, Peter will develop and discuss an individual plan for you and that plan may include supplements that will support and encourage the goals of the plan.
